Friday, March 23: Italian Series Wine Dinner

In the Event Space from 6pm - 8pm

Beverage Baron Drew Smith and Chef Brian Hutchins are pairing up again to bring you an evening filled with Italian cuisine and wines for our themed series in March, Italian Month! This 6-course lavish dinner will make you feel like you are on a culinary expedition throughout Italy. Our wine dinners sell out so be sure to buy your tickets as soon as possible! If you attend our Italian Wine Tasting, you can even be part of choosing one of the featured wines for this evening! Purchase tickets HERE for $70 plus tax and fees.


Tuesday, March 27: Italian Series Pasta Making Class

In the Event Space from 6pm - 8pm

What do you call a fake noodle? An impasta! Thankfully there won’t be any impastas at our Italian pasta making class. Chef Layne will guide you through making 3 authentic Italian pastas and sauces in his 2-hour class. In this hands-on class, you will learn to make pappardelle, ravioli, and gnocchi. You will walk away with the Chef Layne's recipes and knowledge to replicate them at home! Your ticket includes a glass of either Italian white or red wine to sip on while sample your way through the class, recipes, samples, and a discount to use in store. Wednesday, April 11: Sushi Making Class

In the Event Space from 6pm - 8pm

Have you ever wanted to learn how to make sushi? Now at My Fresh Basket, you can! In this 2-hour, hands-on class, you will learn from Chef Jack the basics of rolling your own sushi! We will start with the importance of sushi rice, then move to making California Rolls and Spokane Rolls (Spicy tuna, cucumber, tuna) using proper rolling technique. Jack has been making sushi for 13 years and has picked up techniques from some of the best sushi chefs in Spokane. Purchase tickets HERE for $54 plus fees. 


Friday, April 13: Gourmet 3-Course Wine Pairing Dinner

In the Event Space from 6pm - 8pm

Treat yourself to an evening of fantastic dishes prepared by our experienced chef paired with the perfect wines! Don’t have an unlucky Friday the 13th! Join us for this 3-course amazing wine dinner, where our James Beard award-winning Chef Brian will be creating delicious courses to pair with Drew's favorite wines for the spring! Learn all about these amazing beverages, what they pair well with, and enjoy a filling meal at My Fresh Basket. Tickets include your meal, drinks, and a discount to use in the store. Monday, April 16: Cooking to Avoid Inflammation with Korrin

In the Event Space from 6pm - 7:30pm

Back by Popular Demand!!! Learn and sample recipes designed by nutritionist Korrin Fotheringham that will help you reduce inflammation in your body and feel better! Many chronic conditions that are pervasive in our society such as autoimmune conditions (arthritis and celiac disease), diabetes, cardiovascular disease and certain types of cancer are either caused by long term inflammation in our environment or can lead to inflammation within our bodies. Eating foods that are high in anti-inflammatory properties help us to fight and avoid these chronic conditions. This class will review some of the main sources of inflammation in our diet and how to replace them with nutrient dense, whole foods that taste great! We will discuss nightshades, dairy, and gluten as well as sources of quality fats to get you started with making changes in your own life. Your ticket includes the class, samples of all recipes, a discount to use in store, and a take-home packet with recipes and additional information.Tickets are $35 plus fees. Purchase them HERE


Saturday, April 21: Kid's Hands-On Sushi Making Class

In the Event Space from 5pm - 6:30pm

Calling all kid lovers of sushi! This class is for you. Chef Jack will teach you how to make your own California rolls and hand rolls in this 1-1.5 hour, hands-on class. Enjoy your sushi or take some home to share with your family. Learn all the basics to become a sushi chef in training! This is a great opportunity for all aspiring cooks and chefs to venture out and try something new! Recommended for ages 7+. Parents are welcome to attend with their child, however space is limited. Valentine Baking Class for Kids

Help your kids celebrate Valentine’s Day! In this hands-on class with Chef Heather, they will learn to make cake pops and heart-shaped hand pies! Not only will they get to sample as they create their masterpieces, but they will also get to take treats home to share with their Valentine. Ages 7-12.


Sweetheart Wine Dinner

Treat your sweetheart to an evening filled with decadent dishes created by Chef Brian and unparalleled wine pairings by Wine Steward, Drew Smith. This month’s wine dinner surpasses any that we have put on before at My Fresh Basket. To make your Valentine’s day one for the books, we are pulling out all the stops. Shrimp, filet mignon, gateau entremet, wines from around the world - this will be any foodie’s dream come true! And, of course, you will have the opportunity to be entranced as Chef Brian prepares his dishes right in front of you and Drew exhibits his wine expertise, in a romantic setting.


Culinary 101 - Flavor Combinations and Techniques with Rob

Spend the evening learning the techniques and thought processes that restaurant chefs use to build phenomenal flavor and texture in the dishes you love. Chef Rob will produce everything for your dining enjoyment in class with some hands on preparation from you and plenty of tips, tricks, and industry secrets from him. This class will focus on braising, blackening, and caramelizing techniques of chicken, salmon, and vegetables. Dessert will be a Blood Orange Flan. You will have the opportunity to ask questions in an intimate classroom environment and leave with the confidence to produce amazing, flavorful meals.


Italian Wine Series Wine Tasting

We’re making March Italian month! To kick off our Italian series of classes at My Fresh Basket, our wine steward Drew Smith will feature 5 Italian wines for an exclusive wine tasting event. You will discover what characteristics make Italian wines unique and what pairings you can easily pick up on your way home. At the end of the event, you will even get to vote on your favorite wine of the afternoon. We will feature the winning wine at our extravagant Italian Wine Dinner at the end of the month! 


Children's Pi Day Baking Class

Pi Day is just around the corner! Kids, join us at My Fresh Basket to celebrate by learning how to make hand pies and pie dough cookies! In just an hour, Chef Heather will teach them how to make pie dough from scratch, how to roll and cut it out, and how to transform it into delicious hand pies and pie dough cookies. They’ll get to sample their creations and take some home for the whole family to share! And of course, parents are welcome to hang out and enjoy watching their children become baking extraordinaires. If you would like to turn this into date night with your child, go ahead and buy a ticket for yourself! Recommended for ages 6-12. Tickets are $20 plus tax and fees. 


Prebiotics and Probiotics Cooking with Korrin Fotheringham

Look no further for information and recipes to integrate beneficial probiotics into your diet! Our bodies crave a daily dose of a variety of healthy gut bacteria and a little bit goes a long way in terms of maintaining your health. Recent research supports the idea that a diverse and health gut micro-biome can improve energy levels, vitamin/mineral absorption, optimize digestion and even improve mood, to name a few. This class will review several food sources with naturally occurring probiotics as well as prebiotic rich foods to keep those beneficial bacteria around. We will discuss how to include these high quality foods into daily meals and demonstrate a few delicious recipes. Spring Favorites Dessert Class!

Lets "hop" into the first day of Spring with delicious dessert recipes! Chef Eva from Just American Desserts will be teaching you to make all of her Spring dessert favorites on the first official day of Spring! She will be featuring Coconut Cream Cake, Lemon Pudding Cakes, Butter Cookies and Caramel Chocolate Sea Salt Bars. Rest assured, you'll be able to sample as you learn!
